Live The Life The Anime Characters Live!

To Aru Majutsu no Index [とある魔術の禁書目録(インデックス)] April 5, 2009

To Aru Majutsu no Index (とある魔術の禁書目録(インデックス) To Aru Majutsu no Indekkusu, lit. A Certain Magical Index), is a Japanese light novel series written by Kazuma Kamachi and illustrated by Kiyotaka Haimura. The series was made into an anime and aired between October 2008 and March 2009, containing 24 episodes. The anime series is produced by J.C.Staff and directed by Hiroshi Nishikiori, The series falls under these genres – action, comedy, fantasy, sci-fi, magic. There are hints of a second season coming out during Japan’s summer, and that would be around June to August.

The story is set in a city of scientifically advanced superhuman students, but in a world where magic is also real. The series’ main protagonist, is Kamijo Toma. Toma’s right hand, the Imagine Breaker, will negate all magic, psychic, divine powers, but also his own luck. One day he finds a young girl hanging on his balcony railing. She turns out to be a nun from the Church of England, with many others after her. Through out the series, he tries to live his life normally while still facing against the many adversaries from the world of science and magic, and the conflicts that follow. Despite his very bad luck, he has managed to get the interest and hearts of many ladies who are infatuated with him, which Aisa jokes about, that his life is like a dating sim where he is bound to unlock more paths to more girls.

Personally, this was the anime that I anxiously waited week after week for. I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone! A great anime like this should not be missed!
